Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a "ship week"?
This is an event created by fans to focus on a relationship between specific characters. A person or a group organizing the event provides "prompts" to inspire participants to create content for the pairing for the duration of the week.
What are "prompts"?
Words or phrases which meanings and symbolism can be interpreted individually. A prompt presents a kind of theme for participants to give their own version of the idea.
Who can participate?
Anyone on any skill level who is enthusiastic about the characters may create and share their work. No sign-up is needed!
What kind of content can I share?
The event is open for any creative content a participant is able to make in a medium they choose, from art, fanfiction, 3d renders, video edits, animation, cosplay, etc. (we know of a person who makes puppets from colorful pipe cleaners!)
What is not allowed?
This is a SFW (Safe for Work) event, where sexual content, extreme violence or gore won't be accepted. Typical fantasy violence is OK.
Mildly suggestive themes might be fine, like cuddling, kisses in intimate setting without sexual nudity, or humorously implied sexual intentions.
⚠️ Images and other content generated with artificial intelligence, tracing someone else's work, or any other form of plagiarism will not be tolerated.
Do I have to make submissions to every prompt?
You don't have to! If you don't feel like creating for a particular day, focus on another. It's okay to do only one or two prompts for the whole event, this is not a competition. In case there are two or more prompts given for one day, the idea is for the participant to choose one, HOWEVER someone might choose to do both, or more, or to combine the prompts. Creativity is the main point of the event!
Can I upload late?
Yes. The schedule provided by organizers is a loose plan for the whole event. As long as you create the work related to the prompts following the rules, and add accurate tags, the submissions are more than welcome, even after the week is passed. However, try to avoid uploading days early.

Specific questions about Shadouge Week:

Can I use my own AU?
As long as the topic of your content revolves around Shadow and Rouge, any version of them is welcomed. Alternative Universe, genderbend, your own redesign, etc.
Can I add other characters?
The main focus should be on shadouge, but additional characters in your work can be present. Please mind that other participants might not enjoy OT3 dynamics (Shadouge + a third character romantically involved with them).
Where can I upload my work?
While you can find the main "official" account hosting the event on X (formerly Twitter), our "scouts" look out on different social media for submissions, or other content related to Shadouge. On behalf of another host, you may follow Shadouge Week accounts on Tumblr and Bluesky linked below.
Other sites include, but aren't limited to Instagram, Deviantart, Newgrounds, inkbunny, Pixiv. For written submissions your best place to be noticed is Fanfiction.net and Archive Of Our Own. Use #ShadougeWeek25 with your work.
